This policy explains what information LookedApp collects when you visit lookedapp.com (the "Site"), how we use it and the choices you have. You can browse the Site without an account, and we never ask for your name or email address to use it.

Information we collect

We collect usage data automatically when you visit the Site:

• Request data: your IP address and the approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, the page you visit, the referring page, and parameters in the page address, such as campaign parameters and ad click identifiers.
• Interactions: page views, site searches, and clicks on app store buttons and sponsored placements.

If you email us, we also receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. We use cookies and similar technologies, such as browser storage, for the following purposes:

• Essential cookies (session): needed to deliver the Site, keep it secure and prevent fraud and invalid traffic.
• Functionality cookies (persistent): remember choices you make, such as how often you have already seen sponsored placements.
• Measurement cookies (persistent): a random identifier that helps us understand how visitors use the Site and how our own campaigns perform.

We use Microsoft Advertising to measure our own ad campaigns; Microsoft may set cookies for this (privacy.microsoft.com).

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site still works without them.

How we use information

Under the EU and UK GDPR we need a legal basis for each use. Ours are shown in brackets.

• To run the Site and keep it secure (legitimate interests).
• To understand which pages, reviews and placements people use, and to improve the Site (legitimate interests, or consent where the law requires it).
• To measure the results of our own advertising campaigns (legitimate interests, or consent where the law requires it).
• To detect and prevent fraud and invalid traffic (legitimate interests).
• To reply to your messages (legitimate interests) and to meet our legal obligations (legal obligation).

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that has legal or similarly significant effects.

Sharing

We do not sell your name or contact details. We share data only:

• with service providers, such as hosting and infrastructure providers, that process it on our behalf;
• with our affiliates, who must follow this policy;
• if required by law, or to protect our rights, our users or the public;
• as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case we will give notice before your data becomes subject to a different policy.

Retention and transfer

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or longer if the law requires it or to resolve disputes. Data may be processed in countries other than yours.

Security

We use reasonable measures, including HTTPS encryption and restricted access, to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland (and in many other places), you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data deleted;
• restrict how we use your data;
• object to processing based on legitimate interests;
• receive data you gave us in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before.

Email info@lookedapp.com to make a request. It is free, though we may need to verify it before acting. Because we hold no names or accounts, including details such as your visitor identifier helps us find your data. We reply within one month; complex requests can take up to two more months, and if so we will tell you why. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The Site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
